The Cassandra Photo “AT HOME” sessions are finally here!
This new offering is a shift in how I approach family photography. It’s deeply rooted in my belief that it doesn’t have to be perfect, just true. There’s no posing, no pressure — just a quiet presence as your family moves through a regular day together.
It’s photojournalism at its core — capturing the in-between moments, the details, the realness that often gets overlooked. This is what drew me to the art of photography in the first place.
How does this work?
These sessions are 45 minutes, and in the comfort of your own home. All that I ask is that you don’t stress about making your home “picture perfect” and that you choose a natural thing that your family does together when you’re spending time. For instance, working on your garden, making pancakes on a Sunday morning, having a game night, getting the wiggles out in your backyard and playing a game of tag, etc.
How is this different than your usual family sessions?
There is zero posing or instruction from me - unless I need something for lighting purposes. You live, and I hide away in the background. Sometimes I get a bit closer and a kiddo will look into the camera and that is beautiful and 100% okay - it’s not about not embracing that I’m taking your photograph, rather the intention behind documenting every day moments that your family will look back on for years and years to come :)
