01. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN WE BOOK YOU?

As of right now, I book no more than 4 months in advance. To keep things organized & streamlined, I ask that you fill out the form on the contact page.

02 WHAT DO WE WEAR TO OUR SESSION?

I have a What to Wear Guide that I’ll send to you that offers up color palettes that work super well on camera, as well as colors and patterns I recommend avoiding. Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered!

03. WHAT IF WE HAVE TO RESCHEDULE/CANCEL OUR SESSION?

If you’ve already put a retainer down on a date but have to cancel it, the retainer is legally non-refundable. A new deposit will have to be made in order to hold a new date, should you decide to book again in the future. This is because I’ve withheld your session date from booking any other work :)

04. HOW MANY PHOTOS DO WE GET WITH OUR SESSION?

Each collection varies in how many images are delivered, but I can assure you - you’ll have plenty of images of everything that’s captured. I don’t believe in withholding!

07. DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

Yes! Of course. Sessions are broken into two installments, but if you need more than that to feel comfortable, I get it. Simply let me know when we start our back & forth emails to get you booked, and I’ll make it happen.

10. WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

I pride myself on having one of the quickest turnaround times in the industry. You will receive your images within 48 hours of your session, unless stated otherwise!

05. DO YOU PHOTOGRAPH WEDDINGS?

I’ve retired from photographing mainstream weddings, but from time to time will take on smaller scale weddings (60 guests max), courthouse ceremonies & destination weddings. still very much photographing engagement sessions & anniversary sessions, though! If you’d like to see my wedding portfolio, simply reach out here & I’ll send it over!

08. DO YOU EVER TRAVEL FOR SESSIONS?

Absolutely! Depending on how our schedules align and the time of year, I’m always down to travel to you and your family. A travel fee, and if necessary, an accommodation fee, will be additional costs.

11. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE’S BAD WEATHER?

I always encourage embracing whatever comes our way — a little rain, snow, dark clouds… If the weather is bad enough that it would ruin the vibe and enjoyment of the session, we’ll reschedule for the next available time, no problem :)

06. HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?

A 50% retainer is required in order to hold your session date. (However, mini sessions are paid in full, upfront). The remaining balance isn’t due until the day of the session.

09. DO YOU OFFER GIFT CARDS?

I absolutely do! You can find gift cards and all that information in the shop.

12. WHERE DO YOU SHOOT YOUR BOUDOIR SESSIONS?

Generally, I host the sessions in the privacy of my own home where I have a studio that has all the things we’d need for a boudoir session. If you’d rather do it at a hotel, that’s amazing! Those fees are not included in the session.

What was initially an opportunity to take advantage of working with her while in Chicago for work, turned into one of the most healing experiences of my relationship with body. I wanted a boudoir shoot but I wanted to do it my way, and Cassandra was the perfect conduit for that. When I first started my business back in 2010, I realized very quickly that the resources that were offered were few and far between, and set up to support only those with a strict business mindset. As as creative, this isn’t how I’m wired. Not only did I want to know the best way to do my taxes as a small business owner, but I wanted systems in place to have more time to create and invest in my art.

I didn’t want to continue fighting off my anxiety before every shoot wondering how I’d deal with the lighting, how I would pose this large group, how I would get everything organized for a 200+ person wedding, or spend hours and hours in post-processing getting every single photo just so. And I definitely didn’t want to spend my time replying the exact same things to clients and prospective clients again and again.

I wanted systems in place to have more time to create and invest in my art. I want this for you, too.

Your time is the most valuable currency, and your energy is precious. Over the years, I’ve created tried and true systems that have not only saved me hundreds of hours of time, but have allowed me a deep sense of confidence and inner peace when it comes to running my business.
